Codenamed R.E.D. — Restored. Evolved. Dominant. This 1994 Toyota Supra is what happens when a timeless shape gets rebuilt with zero shortcuts and one clear objective: make it better everywhere—without losing the soul that made the MkIV iconic in the first place.

From the first panel to the last fastener, Supra-Works approached this car as a complete re-creation. Not a “freshen up,” not a bolt-on list, but a full ground-up restoration and modernization where nothing was left untouched. Every gasket, seal, trim piece, grommet, and detail was either restored, renewed, or upgraded—because at this level, the difference is in what most people never notice… until they do.

Then there’s the power. 1,375 wheel horsepower—and it isn’t locked into a single personality. This Supra is fully adjustable by horsepower switch, capable of stepping down into a mild, daily-friendly tune or turning the dial to the 42 PSI setting where it becomes something else entirely. That duality is the point: a car that can behave when you need it to—and go completely feral when you don’t.

At the center is a 3.4L stroker built around a polished crankshaft with 9:1 compression, chosen to balance response, control, and boost-ready strength. Airflow is handled by a serious combination: a HeadGames Stage 3 ported head and GSC S2 cams, feeding a Garrett G42-1450—a turbo with the lungs to make the number real and the composure to keep it repeatable. Exhaust energy is managed through a PHR S45 manifold, while intake charge is delivered by a Hypertune intake manifold and cooled by an ETS 6-inch intercooler—because consistency is what separates a dyno hero from a finished car.

Fueling and control were built with the same “no weak links” mindset: Injector Dynamics 2600XDS, flex-fuel capability, and modern electronics throughout. The result is a Supra that can be tuned with precision, driven with confidence, and relied on like a modern machine—despite being a 30-year-old legend on paper.

Putting that power to the pavement is a drivetrain worthy of the headline. A Tilton clutch handles the bite, the V160 transmission was resealed, and a TRD differential anchors the rear. But the real story is how it drives. This car wasn’t finished on a lift—it was finished on the road. It was dyno tuned, corner balanced, aligned, and street fine-tuned, so the experience matches the spec sheet: brutal when asked, composed when cruising, and shockingly cohesive for something that can crack 1,300 to the wheels.

Visually, R.E.D. is a masterclass in restraint with intent. The paintwork is advanced and deeply detailed—extending beyond the exterior to the interior, engine bay, undercarriage, and every space your eyes land when the car is presented properly. The body retains the instantly recognizable MkIV proportions and lines, but it’s sharpened with the right kind of aggression: a painted carbon fiber hood, a painted carbon fiber trunk, and a TRD-style spoiler that reads period-correct and purposeful. It’s still unmistakably Supra—just updated to feel current, high-end, and undeniably high horsepower.

Even the restoration choices were deliberate. The car retains original Toyota glass all around, preserving authenticity where it matters, while the electrical system and supporting components were brought fully up to date. It’s the kind of build that looks refined up close, photographs like a feature car, and still feels like a real machine—one you’d trust to drive, not just display.

And display it has. This Supra earned Best of Show at the Tri-State Toyota Meet (2021)—a title that doesn’t happen by accident. It’s a reflection of how complete the execution is: performance, detail, presence, and the kind of finish that pulls crowds without needing to shout.

R.E.D. — Restored. Evolved. Dominant.
A renaissance in red, built by Supra-Works as a full-spectrum MkIV: the kind that drives great, draws a crowd, proves continued innovation—and carries that unmistakable, aggressive Supra attitude without losing an ounce of its original identity.
